Introducing the NEW Carolina Classic Corvette Club!
When Carolina Classic Corvette Club was formed, approximately ten years ago, the guiding principle was to assemble a group of like-minded Corvette enthusiasts with a mutual dedication to preservation of, and respect for, the earliest generations of “America’s Sports Car”; specifically, Corvette generations one, two and three (and later generation four). While a commendable and praise worthy mission, and laudable cause for member solidarity, the limited focus could slightly limit growth and inhibit participation in certain events.
A few years ago the formation of another local Corvette Club, Invictus Corvette Club, took place when certain members “spun off” from a much larger Corvette Club to create Invictus, with the club’s primary focus being Corvette centric social gatherings and events, spirited driving events, improving skills and, most importantly, giving back to the community through charitable works and projects.
Being that many Invictus Members maintained dual membership in both ICC and CCCC, a de facto partnership was formed and mutual participation in many events naturally took place, ultimately evolving to a “sister club” status.
Now, after a few years of shared responsibilities and close bonds of friendship being formed, we have decided to officially merge the two clubs under the umbrella of Carolina Classic Corvettes, with the sublime collaboration yielding a fusion club encompassing a wide spectrum of interests, perspectives and a steadfast dedication to the promotion of the “Corvette lifestyle”. In addition, the “car culture” in general thrives among members of both clubs, in that many own “Street Rods” and customs in additions to their Corvette(s) providing an even wider perspective. We’re all excited to discover what the future holds for our new hybrid Quad C/ ICC fusion. Look for us at ‘Cars and Coffee’ events, cruise-ins, car shows and charity fund raisers under the Carolina Classic Corvettes/ Invictus banner.
